yeah it is a 60hp increase. Yeah it would be a good hp increase and will set you up for more mods later on.

My overall goal for my car is to have about 250 horsepower or something around that and i was thinking about getting a power pack from ssms but im starting to think this new engine would be a better idea because its about the same price for the same hp, but ill basically have a new engine

well i dont ever plan on a turbo or super charger, i plan on getting the 4.2, dual exhaust, gears and trac-lok, an xcal 2, ud pulllies, and a cai and the maybe a saleen body kit and get the car repainted, that is my entire plans for my car.

yeah I am getting that motor in about 3 years and throwing a sequential twin turbo system on it.

sounds good... i suppose you have an auto since you are getting the shift kit.. i would also get a new torque converter and a higher stall converter

Yeah def get a 2100-2400 stall converter, a shifter and the B&M shift improvement kit it will be a beast

a better torque converter would be nice too... prolly need it for the higher torque numbers

Yes, i have an auto, and what exactely does a higer stall converter do? I never understood exactely how they work, is it that you just have to be at a higher rpm before you start to move? And wouldnt that just kill your gas mileage?

a torque converter is a higher stall converter. same thing a better torque converter has different stall ratings.

i was thinkin the torque and stall converter was 2 different things.. that answers questions too.. i was also thinkin i had the AODE... but i suppose i have the AOD... that helps out too lol

I am not sure on 96 you may have the AODE me and this other guy were discussing it last night well all have a 4r70w tranny but ours are AODE equipped give a year and any car place will have your stock tranny on file.
