The air conditioning in my 99 mustang doesnt work. I can turn the temperature dial all i want, but the air is always hot and nothing else. Anyone know how to fix this problem, maybe without having to spend money if at all possible (im saving up for a 4.2 by the end of march).

Make sure your compressor is working. When you turn the ac on, if you hear a compressor turn on, than it is working. if it is working, go to Advanced Auto Parts and buy a Recharge kit. about $30.00 and recharge it. Its pretty easy.

is there nay way to eliminate the ac compressor i wont ever use the ac and i want to free up the hp the ac compressor restricts

It would honestly be pointless to do it. Your ac compressor alone only takes up about 2-3 hp at the most. And to the wheels maybe .5hp. nothing your going to notice at all. In order to make a difference that you MIGHT feel, you will have to pull off all of your emissions shit. But in any case, you can pull the compressor off. Undo the metal hose which carries the freon into the compressor, and let the freo go into the air. DONT DO THIS if you have asshole neighbors, it is illegal and you WILL get fined if you get caught. the freon depletes the ozone. But, pull it off and all lines associated with the compressor and your good. All you have to do it buy a smaller Serpentine belt. But, its not worth it, you WILL NOT feel a differene in the wheels.

lol. Yeah, but you would never be able to tell if you put a 2000 and a 2001 v6 up against each other. 3 extra hp is nothing to be flaunting off.

if you if you took out the compressor and put ud pulleys on it, you would probably add about 5hp to the wheels. again, nothing noticable. If you really want to add some power for cheap, just get full bolt ons:

Throttle body, cai, ud pulleys, and a 8.8 rear with 4.10 and tlok. (doesnt add power, put def. adds pickup.)
