thermostat


ok so i'm looking for something inexpenive to do right now and benefit the engine...so i was thinking of replacing the thermostat. any thoughts on this?

very easy to do.

it won't really do anything performance wise for you though
but a new one would probably function better than an old gunked up one which will keep you engine running cooler.

sure..

just unbolt it (4 bolts i think)

scrape off any old gasket from the engine..

put some rtv on the new one and bolt it back in.

that's about it.

oh yea.. add coolant if you lose any

can't beat the price. you could just go to any parts store and pick on up though.

a thermostat is a thermostat.

can't really have a "performance" one... all they do is open and close at 160/180 degrees.
