HIDs

Ok so I got this HID kit Standard 9007-3 Bi-Xenon HID Kit - $68.99 : VVME.COM, Car Parts, HID KIT, Tattoo Kit, Ballast, Bulbs I just installed them in my 02 mustang. They work and everything, it is just that when i pull the switch out for my headlights they turn on but the high beam light is on. I try flipping the lever for the high beams, but it does not do nothing, i know that they do not have a high or low beam, but the high beam light just stays on. Is this normal, or did i maybe mix some of the wiring up? or is there anything i can do? thanks.

*EDIT* I'm confused, you linked to bi-xenon kit but said they don't have a high or low beam. If they are bi-xenon HIDs then they do have high and low beams. If they are standard HIDs, then they can't be on high beams when you turn them on. Do you have Bi-xenons or regular xenon HIDs?

ok edit* sorry about the confusion, i got confused because i was looking at another site where they were just the regular ones where they are only low beam. I got the kit that I posted the link to, sorry for the misunderstanding. And I really appreciate the link that helps a lot. I will try it tom or wed and hopefully it works.

Yeah, you have high and low beams. That sticky should work. Let us know how it works when you try it.

Check to make sure the servo isn't jammed. If you put a clean rag over the bulb (do NOT touch the bulb w/ you fingers as the oils are bad) you should be able to push it in with little to no resistance. Just make sure you do this w/out any power to the bulb.

ok, well i know that i was doing that before i put them in, so unless it got jammed in the couples hours before i put them in. Because i was looking at the kit and instructions at home, then i put on rubber gloves cuz i wanted to look at the bulbs. Then when i put the protector back on each of them i noticed the bulb would move in and out. I will try the wiring first and see hopefully that is it. If not i will post again and let you guys know

ok, well i switched the wires around, now when i pull my light switch i have only driving lights. I have to flip the high beams on to make any light come on. I will double check the wiring, but does anyone know what i may have done wrong? thanks

so the lights only work on low beam when you have your "high beams" on? Sounds like a wire issue i would just recheck you wired them correctly... just make sure the wires are snug in the housing below

Yes, make sure all plugs are snugged together and plugged into the correct plugs.

alright i will check the plugs and all the wires. i just re did them like the article. this is something else, i noticed my headlights when i hit bumps like flicker up and down. Idk if this could be the cause of no low beam? since you were saying about a servo. I dont know much about the hids, but it doesnt seem like they should move around when i hit normal road bumps. Idk well would the servo be a cause of no low beams? cuz they now work correctly except i have no low beam. before when i would turn the lights on by pullin the lever it would automatically go to high beams, now i pull it and driving lights come on and gauges light up, but no headlights, until i flip the blinker switch.

The headlights should be on whenever the headlight knob is pulled all the way out (regardless of the position of the high/low beam switch). It sounds like there's an issue with the wires on the connector to the stock headlights (the one you changed the wires on). Make sure those are all getting connected and seated properly.
