I got my paint job! :D

I dropped my car off on Tuesday and picked it up this afternoon. The shop did my stripes, flames, painted and installed my GT rear bumper, and installed my taillight panel all for $1,800, which I think is a very good deal.

Apparently a lot of people like it because I saw a lot of people checking the car out and stopping to take cell phone pictures, which makes me feel good.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about it, I think it looks sick and am happy with it. I cannot wait to see how the car looks with the 20" black rims, lowered, and black LED taillights.

great choice, i usually make fun of cars with flames, but those look rlly nice. in my opinion, i think you should have had them run the stripes down the bumper too though

i love the paint job, looked a little cluttered with the strips AND flames at first, but after looking at it after a nap, I love it ! is the finished product exactly how you had it drawn/pictured mentally, or did the shop take liberty on it? either way, great design !

I went in with just an idea of what I wanted and then let the shop pretty much go wild. They painted up a test hood for me and it was great. They added a lot of things to the final that weren't on the test hood, which makes it look more awesome.

There are a lot of things that did not come through in the pictures. The stripes are metallic with a candy clearcoat. The stripes will actually shift in color slightly depending upon the angle of viewing and how the light happens to be hitting, giving it a very cool effect.

Also the flames on the stripes are done with a silver metallic to make them stand out just slightly against the blue.

I wanted something different from what everyone else had or could get, which is why I went with the "short" stripes (not all the way down) and the real flames. Like I said, I'm really happy with it and have gotten a LOT of people (mostly 06 mustang owners too

) asking me where I got the work done and giving me compliments. Even a dude in a Rousch that is a UFC fighter stopped to give me props.

I had to get the stripes just because I'm an old school kind of guy and my first mustang (66 fastback 2+2) was also white with blue racing stripes. I guess it has just been a "theme" with me for most of my life.

white paint is very hard to maintain, but keep it clean and you'll car will stand out. sick flames!
