8-10 for short
16-20 for long
short give no sound change
long give a deeper rumble and better sound.

ummm shorties add acceleration never heard that, but with a 98 you have to get shorties. If you want acceleration get gears.

im sure someone makes long tube headers lol... a guy told me yesterday that lower gears arent always better, and it can mess stuff up, and actually sometimes is slows you down... is that true? he said go with 3.73 over 4.10

no they won't mess anything up and 4.10's are faster. 3.73 is more of a street gear 4.10s are a drag gear and no one but mac makes lt's for the v6

i drive my car every day to school/work and i live outside of town. how much gas mileage loss am i talking for 4.10's. very important... it depends on if i get them now or like 2 years from now when i move in to town when im 18 and live on my own. we dont have a drag strip where i live really. closest one is in Sikeston, about 40 minutes away from me.
