Hey, I wrote the look here before asking about mods sticky, he just stole it and posted it, instead of stickied my thread. *cough*

It's likely one of these makes Ford's head gaskets.
Well no, I was saying fel-pro from what I've seen tend to come apart.

ok did some work on it yesterday. ran compression test and that was fine along with the plugs being fine. emptied the catch can which had a little bit of water in it and changed the filter on that since the old one was nasty looking. pulled out the air filter and cleaned that up. checked the oil...it was about a half a quart low. coolant was low in the reservoir. added coolant and oil. drove back to my apartment 80-100 miles away. so after classes are done today i am going to run down to autozone and see if i can rent a coolant system pressure tester and check that later on after everything cools down along with checking the oil and coolant levels. then ill see what i have from there.

Thats good it had good compression. But the water in the catch can doesnt make sence. Maybe check the lower intake.
I forgot to mention there is a test you can run that will find exhaust gases in the coolant. It's a purple fluid...I forget the name of the test though.

the water in the catch can is normal IMO. condensation from those little filters happens, especially since my car sits outside in the cold. im gonna run that pressure test on the coolant system which should really tell me for sure if and where the coolant is leaking.

wow just checked the coolant level in the reservoir about 20 minutes ago....its almost empty. definitely a coolant leak somewhere inside...now to find out if it is the lower intake or the head gasket.
