Good deal, always a plus when you get it done yourself. Sometimes those problems are nice to have, so you can get extra points for problem solving skills.

Before the adjustment I had about .020 backlash. I figured out why it was off, because of where on the teeth i placed my dial indicator. It threw it off. It is right now, i checked it like 15 times lol and in all different places, it is .010 now. And I actually am glad that I made some mistakes, because i will remeber the mistakes that I have made, and not do them again. You learn better from the mistakes you make, then doing it right im just glad it did not mess anything up

Good. I'm glad the gears are ok.

I think something is wrong with mine. It sounds like a lot of bearing noise at high speeds. I'll have to check it out next time I'm on a lift though. Glad yours turned out good!

Ya, they are pretty tricky. I did not think that the gears were so particular, but they are. You have to have them just perfect for them to sound and work correctly. It is kind of crazy actually. Well I hope that yours turn out and you fix the problem. My car also did not seem to have much side bearing preload, so I added a little more.
