A few questions about my 6er.
Hello, I just got a 2000 mustang v6 from my bro for real cheap mint condition couldn't pass the offer. I have a few questions though. I do not want to use nitrous or turbo/super chargers on my car at the moment also.
1. What generation is my stang? 2. What are the fastest acceleration gears? 3. What are UD pulleys I seen you guys talking about them giving you 10-15hp so what is the full and real name for UD pulleys I would like to learn about them and maby add them if their the right price. 4. I'm going to get new rims in the summer but I plan on getting another car in a few years hopefully. So would I be able to switch the rims and fit it on another car I don't really get how that works? 5. I want to make my car accelerate like a beast, I'm not worried about top speed as long as my car can get to 90mph.( I'm not sure if in real life it's like a sim game where if you want more acceleration you sacrifice speed.) 6. illegal window tints made legal for me ? I know some how you can get a note from a doctor oking the use of illegal window tints so you don't get a ticket if you have a eye problem. Well about 10 years I was skateboarding and I went up a vert ramp and the board slipped out and I banged my head off the top of the vert ramp where the steel pool (coop beam) is and now I have my retina (and some other big word separated) in my eyes causing me to see millions of dots all a crossed my vision and I have to sqwent when its really sunny or snowy out because it kinda burns my eyes so I naturally have to close them, can't keep them open all the way. Do you guys think they will give me a ok to have illegal tints for that ? |

1. New gen stang not sure the actual generation around 7 or 8
2. 4.10 would be all you need for a street vehicle there are faster but they are to fast for the street 3. The pulleys take some of the power running your accessories and give it back to the engine to use at the wheels 4. If you get another stang or car with the same back spacing and bolt pattern. 5. You have to sacrifice some but not as much as you think 6. Not sure on this ask your doctor.

1. New Edge
2. 3.73? I think 3. It doesnt give HP it like transfers HP from your A/C and stuff . thats what ive heard 4. Depends on the size of the mounting 5. Go for parts that add Torque but why would you be going 90 in the first place . 6 Lol . just go illegal and dont get caught lol . depends on your sate laws

1. It's called the New Edge, and i don't know what gen number it is.
2. 4.10 gears would be the steepest I would go for a street car, especially if you are keeping the 7.5" 3. UD pulleys are underdrive pulleys where they slow your accessories, and they don't give you hp but they free up hp that your car already has and puts it to the wheels. 4. If you get another 94-04 stang then you can just swap out the wheels easily. yea and faleen nailed it all pretty much...i just wanted to elaborate a bit, and just talk. |

I did under the exhaust section. I had it ready to post but it said I couldn't post urls yet. So I tried replying to something to bring my posts above 3 to see if it worked and it did. Sorry for gratuitous +1

How much money are these pulleys and can I install them my self with out lifting my car ? and will I see a difference in power ? For the doctor thing I would just like to see what you guys think or know somebody that had a doctors note for a similar purpose because I don't know any body that has a eye condition and has a doctor note. I was thinking that in order to get a note that maby you have to have real messed up eyes or something really bad that you can't see at all in bright conditions . Right now I'm thinking I have about a 50% chance of getting a note, but how do they test you in order to make their decision? Oh and do any of you guys know anybody with a doctor note for illegal tints? if so what's their reason for getting it? Sorry for all the "noob" questions, but thanks for the reply s ! |

0-60 has to many variables for you to really measure by.
As for the pulleys you can install them yourself with simple hand tools. I did. Only one I need a tool that I don't have is for my alternator pulley, but that is only for undercharging issues if you have any. I used an impact wrench to get it off, and put it on. |

I thin 3.27 or 3.23 is in your car now don't remember exactly. Pulleys are easy to install as cricket said. For the doctor I think your case is good if it is difficult for you to see in bright light.

Forgot to ask this does driving with your heater or a/c on slow your car down? I feel like I have more power with it off.
