Some Decisions To Make
Well, I've finally gotten to work on my car. I completely rebuilt the Vortech V-2, which was actually pretty easy. I'm sure using the oven was the best idea because it ALMOST eliminates the need for a press, even though I have one. So now that that's all together, had to get a couple of pulleys and bearings for pulleys that were old and didn't like to spin too easily or were making noise. Then today I got to taking my car apart and figured what the hell, I'll take the lower intake manifold off too while I'm doing this and port it instead of using the 01-04 lower I have. So I did that, and now I kind of want to port the heads too...but then if I'm going this far I might as well do a cam so I don't need all kinds of gaskets and have to take everything apart again and get it retuned. Now I just need to figure out what kind of cam I want to get...at the current time, i'm starting to run low on money for this, and I wanted to get a new billet cam. My question is has anyone really had any problems with using a regrind, like wearing more because the hardened part is ground off? I'm going to do lifters and valve springs with it and maybe new pushrods too, just for good measure. Any recommendations on this whole situation? And I just thought I'd let everyone know how my build was going. I'll have pics up by tomorrow night, I just couldn't get them now because they're too big.

well it sounds like your going to have a great setup. As far as regrinds go, you have to get new pushrods that are longer, and you will need a length measuring tool for checking the length of pushrods you will have to get. you could run stock pushrods, and then just get a new cam, and then you would not need to buy pushrods, unless you want some more rpms, then it would be a good idea to get some hardened ones. Idk what to tell you man, that sucks when money runs out.
your other option is plant a money tree in your backyard

supercharger cams like big duration and lift. personally I would go somewhere around a .55 lift.
Mine is a regrind and the specs are 216/222 .540/.541 112*lsa. I am running the yellow ls6 valve springs with hardened pushrods from comp. I bought the springs from lingenfelter performance on ebay. Key word "ls6 valve springs".

And those springs didn't require head machining? Just wanted to check. Who did you get your cam from? All the info is appreciated.
