Comp Cam

Ok, so i just want to know whether or not to order from comp or ssms. ssms is a little more expensive for cams. Does anyone have either cams? and what do they recommend as far as companies? Im looking for a decent cam that is kind of aggressive, but not to agressive because it is my dd.

well, imo you should go from comp, because ssms marks them up because they need to make a profit.

This statement is a little off. Comp has some decent "Shelf cams" that are ok. ssms sells custom cams that are far superior to comps off the shelf cams.
Personally...I would go through ssms...morana...or your local engine builder. I am running a crower regrind that was cut by my local engine builder/machine shop.

Dont get me wrong...all of these cams I've listed are much better than stock.

sorry, the last one got talking about retainers so i figured i would let that go, since that was another question that i had. I will not post another one about cams

unless it is an update or some help i need on the install.
