battery
my battery keeps dying and i took my car to auto store and both alternator and battery checked out to be fine, though battery needs to be charged. So they charge it and give it back, about a week later my battery dies again. I've made sure nothing is left on like a light or charger plugged in etc.
what would cause this? |

Did they load test the alternator? How many amps was it producing? Do you have a parasitic draw?

if you have a digital volt miter, you can check the amps drawing off the battery, simply disconnect the negative cable, and put one lead on the cable, and the other on the post, if anything really over 3 amps, then you start pulling fuses to see which circuit is the problem, then you can go from there to solve the problem, it happend to me with my cd player. thats why i know lol

Check for corrosion on your battery terminals? If not check to see if something on your car isn't staying on when even after you turn the car off.

my 07 v6 did that also. it turned out that the battery was not making good connection . at first i thought that it was the udp doing it, but it was the terminals.

Make sure you don't have a dime stuck in your lighter socket.

All of the above are good suggestions. I would recommend cleaning the posts like they said above, along with cleaning the clamps. Then you can check the amp draw, and see if you have a parasitic draw like above said
