the best option is pick up a handheld and have your car dynoed. Mail order tunes can get you close but not spot on. A custom dyno is the absolute best option.

I think datalogging is another good option if you do not have a dyno shop near.

It really depends. Getting your car dynoed and custom tuned is a great option but it's expensive. If the mods in your sig are the only mods you have, it's not worth it at all to go that route. When you get full bolt ons or start doing internal work, then it would be worth it to get dynoed and custom tuned. Until then, AM tunes should work fine (and better than preloaded). If you get the tuner from AM that comes with free tunes for life, you can get a new tune each time you add something to your car. They might not be the most perfect tunes, but they should be fine until you've put enough into your car that you're willing to shell out the money for a custom tune.

I don't know about being the best option for an almost stockish bolt on v6!

so i have a question, i have the tuner with the preloaded tunes, from am. I have udps, cai, gears, dual exhaust, soon to come headers, and windstar. Would it be smart for me to have either joe, or vmp get me a custom email tune? I mean would it make a difference?

Any SCT purchase from American Muscle (whether preloaded or purchased with custom tunes) can get a custom tune emailed to them. Updates are free when part is purchased from AM. The tuner techs are trained by SCT, and they can custom tune for anything except cams, supercharged, or nitrous over 100 shot. Dyno tunes from a shop is always best, but these custom tunes are right on and I recommend the custom tune if you are looking to buy a SCT tuner from AM (plus you can't beat free tunes for life).

Now if you were to go power adder...you would need to get a wideband on it.
