Simple question...

How many miles should pass before changing spark plugs? I can't remember the miles I was at when I changed them way back when... I know it was in March of 08 tho.

Im not noticing any bad misfiring or anything... just wondering if I should go ahead and replace em or not.

i only tune up when there is a misfire or other runability problem.... spark plugs usually last at least 50,000 miles before showing appreciable signs of wear though

Kinda depends on the plug. Platinums will last longer than copper plugs. If you are running a basic copper plug, I would change them about 30k. Platinum you can add 10 or so k to that. Really doesn't take much to pull one plug and check it out though. They are cheap too...

Ford recommends that you change spark plugs every 100k miles on the 3.8L engine.
