Well the stock 4spd, I am assuming must be the auto, and they are able to hold easily 350+rwhp. And if you have a cooler, and j mod, they can handle in the 400+rwhp range. The stock unit, well idk, because it is an open differential where only one wheel spins. If you run a tlok you are looking at the ability to hold 260rwhp about, and then the strongest option is getting an eaton or detroit style unit, and they can hold up to i 350-400 rwhp maybe more, depending on your tire and how hard you are launching.

Chris, was running 497ish rwhp on his detroit unit.

The auto can handle near 400 rwhp and the t-5 can last awhile between the 330-350rwhp mark. Mine gave out at the 385rwhp mark. They like to give out in 3rd geAr.

The rear will be a bit of luck. Mine is still working at my levels. And some blow with almost stock hp. So it will vary person to person.

FYI on the auto do a j-mod and tranny cooler.

Did the 94-98 models use the same auto tranny? I'm mainly familiar with the manual trannys.

Well im just wondering because I plan on throwing on preformance Cyl heads (fully ported upper and lower fro supersixmotorsports. basically the power package ive been asking so much about, imputting that on and they say on the dyno they got roughly 85-100HP out of it. Then also throing a dual exhuast W/ a 8-9psi vortech s/c. That why i wanted to know cuz i dont want to driving one day and all of a sudden my rear blows out clean from my car.

If i makes a difference my 4spd is infact the auto and i have 4.10 to the best of my knowledge
