ok, thanks. I just want to make sure. And would installing a fuse like 99 BLUE V6 did prevent a voltage spike if i did run the alternator? I am jc, because I can pay 10 bucks for a fuse, i don't plan on having to have my car shut off and if i do im sure i have more problems than 10 bucks. I just don't want to fry my computer and all my wiring.

no, the fuse he put in is incase the battery cable thats under the car shorts out then the fuse will blow instead of welding itself to where ever its touching. They make a kit thats not to expensive for the alt that has the relay in it

Mandatory on any car with a battery running 9.99 (*6.39) or quicker, or any car exceeding 135 mph (217.2 km/h) or on any car where the battery is relocated into the trunk area.

8.4 in the book for the master cutoff switch

yeah he wants to know about the alt. When you kill these cars with the alt still hooked up, it can send a voltage spike through the system and hurt some electrical componants
