Anything boosted will pull stupid numbers from a cold air intake, and anything with a decent sized motor will gain some decent numbers from one (lsx). Our little 232cid push rod motor not so much.

I mean buy an intake and run the car to the dyno then we'll know for sure.

I love how from the opening post I could tell this would just be an argument of the OP against all the veterans about shorty's, what I didn't see coming was it evolving into an argument about CAI's with the same two sides. How do you come up with the topics you argue about?

How, I looked at the reviews on americanmuscle of the shortys. Then i looked at the dyno resutls and realized that they are not better than the stock, actually they are worse. I do not know, I am just getting into the automitive field. I just get things in my head and I like arguing. Like the shorties, they look like they should flow better, but i guess i learned a lot from this thread that looks can be decieving. And on the cai thing, I just was on 3.8 and then saw a link on nitrous installation. They had a dyno tune of a stock v6 then one with the k&n cai, and then one with nitrous. So that sparked my other argument. I think arguments also help bring out more facts for people to see. I am not saying im right, since i was wrong on the shortys. And as far as me dynoing my car with a cai, it is too late for that since I already have a bunch of other mods. And I don't remember where I put the stock intake at. I guess I will leave it up to people to decide. And it doesn't really matter because it is one of the most common first mods and will be whether or not you gain 1 rwhp or 8 rwhp.

Ok. I dont understand why you two even go on this forum. You just try to tell people they are wrong. I at least put topics out that people can relate to and may have questions. I am sorry that I post a lot of stuff. You want the exact list of what is being done to my car this summer, right now I have at home the windstar, gt tb that im half shafting. Then I am going to get a cam from ssms. If the money is left over then I may get LCAs. I am sorry that I actually use this forum to get informantion about my car. I just want to know the facts before I purchase. You can post all your posts saying I am stupid, and it does not bother me. I will still keep asking my questions. I did not know that I was not supposed to ask about stuff that I was not going to do? I just like to learn and that is why I ask about other topics.

Search button would answer 99.6% of all the questions you continuously ask. We've been here long enough to know half the people on the forum that always ask questions will only be doing that... Asking questions and never buying anything.

ok, think what you want. and i try the search button. i just don't find the results i want. so what if people talk and don't do things. maybe they are just curious so i do not see no harm in them asking. i am actually doing the stuff i ask. well not as we speak since it is cold out but as soon as spring arrives.
