thinkin it might be a bent rod, or valve, or burnt valve.. any ideas??

if it is how hard would it be to change vavles/ pushrods?

if it is one of those, its not too hard to do pushrods. But valves you've gotta take upper, lower, and heads off and some machine work.

well wat would be causing me to lose mpg? i normally run a tank to a little on the red.. i just filled up 2days ago and im at half. normally i can get it to a week to a week n a half b4 i need to fill up again.. would an exhaust leak cause this if it gets worse? or would it be the valves?

p.s thats even with a lead foot every once in awhile..

I had a "tick" that was a cracked manifold...fixed it. Then I had a "tick" that was an exhaust valve...never fixed it correctly. I did notice a drop in MPG with the valve. Now Im not positive is was a valve because the dude that diagnosed it was somewhat unreliable. However, he took a stethascope around the car for 5 minutes listening to everything before he made his determination. If I remember right, at that point in my mess of shit, I was getting random lean codes at times which doesnt make sense to lower MPG. IDK.

Yeah my mpg is suffering to the tune of about 20miles per tank because of the sticky lifter. I'd make sure it isn't an exhaust leak before fixing anything, but sounds like the valve lifter.

Self fail that noise was a cracked header on the pass. side. Got worse over the last week when I got on it it finally separated completely, right where the flange is welded on... never was able to see the crack before cuz I didn't take the header off, just the mid pipe. Replaced with stock, back to driving like she should, its been awhile this shit has been irritating!
