Car doesn't start, alarm goes on HELP

Hi guys, my mustang is 5 years old. Its been 3 days since the last time I went to start it because of the heavy snow we got. This morning I went to start it, and the aralm goes on and the car doesn't start. It sounds like it want to for a spilt second, then the alarm goes on. Im guessing that I need a new battery? What do you think, Thanks John

Check the terminals, sometimes they have corrosion from water getting to them, you may just need to clean the connection part of the battery.

Also when you say the car alarm goes on, does it stay on till you turn it off? or does it turn off because there is no battery.
