TMA Turbo vs VMP Super

they both cost the same.. EXCEPT VMP's supercharger supposedly comes with everything i need EVEN the tuner.. so why shouldnt i get the S/C?

Someone tell me whats more worth while the 4.4 turbo that comes with nothing i need except for the actuall turbo kit and i cant afford to buy much of anything else.. or the 11psi supercharger that comes with everything i need and i can buy other stuff to go w/ it =P and will the s/c blow my motor at that kind of pressure? i looked around and they dont sell any weaker boost pulleys but i am sure procharger sells them.. hmm

edit: I am also alittle worried about gas milage.. i hear s/c will destroy all gas milage which i am sure is true fro turbos too but i have also heard turbos can be turned down with a boost controller

i dont like the idea either but i rather pay less for more if you know what i mean.. i also dont wanna have to wait.. because to me a power adder is the only way to get the ol' sixer quicker

edit: dont take that wrong i know a well built 3.8 can put down alot N/A

Turbos can actually be tuned to give better gas mileage.

Really dont need to tune

Stay off the Gas
Stay out of boost [for the most part]

= gas mileage

yea, but a nice tune to help save gas mileage is helpful with the leadfoots we got around here.

Truthfully it's a preference thing, but 11psi on stock internals does it's damage. I'm not saying it will happen right away, or quick, but it's something I would be weary of.

If you really want a turbo setup get a turbo setup, and get the things you need to get as you go.

If you really want that s/c setup get that one.

It's all your preference. Either go for what you really want, or don't spend your money on it at all.

GO FOR THE TURBO

you can buy the kit and it comes with EVERYTHING you'll need but injectors a fuel pump and an Xcal2.
and if you get the street kit and buy the injectors, fuel pump and xcal2 it'll cost as much as the porcharger
and you can choose from 4psi to 10 and even more if your a lil devil

I wish i knew how to fab up pipes...that turbo kit he makes would cost me like $1000 to make myself or less if i had everything needed.

the only thing i hate about turbos is that they warp the way the car sounds..

the only things i dislike about s/c is that there arent any roots style for our cars and that you have to remove the pulley and belt to lower the boost >.<

If theres 13 and 11psi and even sixers with high boost running that high of a psi i think you'll be good at 11psi for a while

but the stress on the engine isnt as much with a turbo

theres still good sounding turboed sixers out there

a turbo just makes any car sound weak, besides the building of boost and the release of all the pressure the exhaust just comes out smooth.. i have a 03 mustang gt in my neighborhood with a TT setup.. and it just sounds like a super powerful honda to me
