Alright, i need some help, i'm having trouble finding a certain part i need for an exhaust system. I need.... Catted h-pipe that will fit with long tube headers for a 2001 v6. If anyone can find me one i'd be more than grateful.

mac made them but discontinued. you can purchase an off road H pipe and purchase high flow cats from magnaflow, etc. and have them welded into place as close to the header flange as possible

at that point IMO it would be more cost effective to make his own h pipe wouldn't it?

are you even sure long tubes will pass emissions in your state? in most emissions states, a modified exhaust system will fail a visual test, regardless if it passes the sniffer.

call your dmvs before buying anything.

but you would be better off supplying your own high flow cats to be sure the honeycomb internals are new and functioning properly. then have a shop fabricate something if you think it is cheaper. off road mid pipes are 150, shops will generally charge at least that to fab a midpipe. then they have to cut and weld in cats...

oh, well long tubes might not be legal, not sure.

well call your local dmvs emissions office to find out. get the speaker/informant's name and job title and keep for your records. then, if legal, purchase the long tubes, bolt them on, and bolt on an offroad pipe until you get the muffler shop to weld in some cats. that would be the easiest and cheapest way.

it would be illegal to drive on the road with an offroad mid pipe, but if you dont have a trailer, just drive inconspicuously to the muffler shop and just pay them 50 bucks to weld in the cats to the mid pipe.
