rpm redline

I have a manual v6 and i see on the dash the red line us about 5200rpm. I used to drive a auto so when i first started driving this car i forgot to shift every once in a while and noticed the rev limiter is about 6000 rpm. What is the highest rpm i could run without having problems? thanks in advance

5250 is the redline. and anything above that wihtout a proper tune is harmful. i am tuned for a 6250 redline at 93 octane.

what kind of tune would i need. is it somthing i could do with a sct xcal or would i need to get it dino tuned.

You could do it with the x-cal no problem.

Yea...trust me get the tune. I just learned the hard way about redlines.
