Is My car running too rich?

Although no black smoke or anything drastic comes out of my exhaust , My tail pipes get easy covered with black crap leaving me to believe I might be running a little too rich. I dont plan on eating off of my tailpipes or having them clean as a whisel but they get pretty dirty after a couple days of driving. Any thoughts? Im running 93 Octane SCT tune thats loaded with ajustments for cai and catback. I was thinking of calling AM for a new tune.

I just wanted to see what you guys though of it.

well, do you still have cats on with your dual exhaust? i know if you do not have cats you can get the black. it also depends how much black, my tips get really black too, it is just normal. do you have a pic? does it put black soot on your rear bumper?

nah none on my bumper and I have cats. I mean I might just be paranoid about it.

there was a little black neer the bottom of each of the pipes. I cleaned it off so no pics sorry

I get that little build up of black shit in my tail pipes as well. I don't think it's a real big deal but I'm going to change my O2 sensors (since I'm over 100k) and see if that helps at all.

I do not think it should be anything too serious, my car is at 90k and I have the same black on my tailpipes. We can wait and see if the o2 sensors help, but if not i doubt that it will harm anything.
