Build a V6 Saleen Mustang?

Okay, so I want to be different now. I'm thinking about getting a V6 mustang, but I am not entirely sure yet. I have a few good deals on GT's, but they're older, like 1996 and 1997. I don't think those would look as good with the Saleen parts as say the 1999-2004 Saleen's do. But it's a thought. I'm also thinking about that if I do get a V6, I want to build a V6 Saleen out of it to. I just really like Saleen Mustangs a lot, and seeing as I'm a fairly BROKE high school student, I'm just looking to get a Mustang that is under $6000. That way if I do do payments, it's not so expensive and I can still pay for the insurance and have money left over for mods. I just want to hear your guys' thought's about building a V6 Saleen Mustang. I think it's a fairly original idea, to my knowledge no one's done it, full out at least. I just want some opinions. Thanks.

There are a few full out v6 Saleen clones. But if you wanna do a real one with real parts better have a lot of money cause everything from Saleen is very very expensive.

And yeah do you want power or just style

I already looked at the prices, and straight off the Saleen website... HOLY HELL! Lol. But yeah, I want a little bit of both. Thank god I'm doing my schooling for my financial services job soon! I'll have plenty of money to build a V6 Saleen! Lol. I just want a little bit of power, and the full on Saleen body kit, decals, stipes and style.

Okay, another question. I'm on the Saleen website and they have 2 different rear bumpers for the 99-04 mustangs. The one I really want is the center exhaust bumper. Runs at $650. But that's not my question, I was wondering how much it would cost for a body shop to not only paint the rear bumper, but the whole body kit? Or am I better off having a couple friend's who know how to paint help me?

Yeah for a full clone you need
EXTERIOR
Body kit
exhaust with 3in borla rolled tips
Fade stripe decals
windsheild banner
numbers decal on drivers side headlight lip
18in Saleen rims
13in front and rear breaks and rotors (paint matched)
S-281 badging for sides and trunk
engine bay plaque

INTERIOR
color match accents
Saleen pedals
Saleen Floor mats
dash and shifter plaque
leather seats with Saleen logo stitched in head rest
If manual saleen shift knob

SUSPENSION
Full saleen N2 racecraft suspension

and then performance well what kinda hp you want in it?

For paint get a shop to do all your kit and car at one time and you will need a saleen paint code to get a true saleen color

also you will need different tips then I listed earlier for the center exhaust but I don't remember what model they are but they are borla still

A lot! But they don't offer much for the V6. In the name of power, all I could really put on the V6 is a catback exhaust. I would like to find a supercharger or a turbo for the V6, that'd be bad ass in my opinion. Now where can I get the leather seats with the Saleen stitching in it?

You have to get it custom done or fine a junked saleen and steal the head rests oh and black or parchment (99-02 only) interior only

Well you will have to do full true duals from a muffler shop to get the center exhaust

Alright well if your not trying to make a CLONE (in which it would cost you more than just buying one)

Ebay: Find some Saleen seats, i've seen them on ebay

Get the full body kit

Get some custom made S232 badges (232 is the displacment of our car)

That way you would have a unique car. That was one of my ideas orignally to make a(n) Saleen S-232 mustang

Also

www.tuamturbo.com = v6 turbo
www.procharger.com = v6 super
www.vortechsuperchargers.com = v6 super

v6 mustang

Just check Cars.com and Autotrader.com and EbayMotors.com for the stang, i personally like the roush bodykits better but anyway around it its expensive to clone either, if u want to save money buy all parts u can off of ebay, If you dont plan on going all out performance buy a v6 with a little bit higher mileage it'll save you money but I dont persoannly condone that but hey thats just me

i am kinda against the saleen look because they only support v8s and once you have a saleen body kit you gotta have the attention of every fast car in town.. expect to see alot of badass cars pulling up next to you and reving like crazy

i have a GT hood scoop on my car that came with it and it gets plenty of attention by its self

They will only do a v6 if it is a 95-00 and you will get a one of a kind s-351 (s/c if 98-00) but it would no longer be a v6 lol but it will run 12's pretty easily

Where did you guys find the S-281 for 22k? I might be able to come up with some kind of down payment for it in like... 6 months! Lol. How much would it cost for Saleen to do it though?
