Window problems

when you shut my passenger side door there is a pretty large gap between the top of my window and the door. I can stick some of my fingers in the car through the gap. But if you shut the door while pressing on the top of the window it will somewhat fix it. It still looks like its not all the way in but if it rains water wont get in. Does anyone have a solution to this so i dont hve to pay a ton to get it looked at? Thanks!

I think you'll need to take the door panel off to get to the window track. Don't take my word for it though, let someone else chime in.

Yeah it's just more annoying then anything. And it would be pretty easy to break into my car if someone knew about it.

Yeah these windows are notorious for having poor design, the window comes off the track rather easily, and the stops actually break off. Both my windows will go up too far if you just hold the buttons, I have to manually line them up everytime...$400 PER WINDOW to fix them, plus cost of tint. Fo'get about it.

I might had the same problem with my 06.
the problem you having is it that when you open the door, the window automatic pull down a little bit, when you close the door the window should automatic push the window back up to cover the gap, but it "didn't".

If it is then it's an easy fix. you just need to 'reset' the window controller (press, window goes up/down). I forgot how to do it, but it should be in your manual book, in power window troubleshooting section. If you can't find it let me know I'll look it up for you.

It's your window runners. It's a common problem on the 99-04 models.

It's not exactly easy because of the tight space, but if you have some time and the tools to do it it's not that bad.
