Let's Try This Again! My Next Mustang (hopefully!)

Well, thar she blows! I'm travelling almost 500 miles on Saturday to pick her up, for only $1,700! All she needs is 4 new tires and a stereo deck, and she's good to go! She's a 99 V6 35th Anniversary Edition, manual, with 150k miles, a relatively new clutch and exhaust, and she's alllllllll mine!

I'll be posting more pics/vids as soon as I get her home.

Yeah, I'm super-psyched. Apparently, the only reason this guy is selling her is because his grandfather just lost his sight, and gave him his classic Buick that only has 70k miles on it. He said he just wants to sell the Mustang to someone who will appreciate her.

That'd be me! Can't wait til Saturday afternoon!

nice...but its gonna be more than just 4 new tires unless the guy was really up on maintenance. I bought mine a few years ago with 38k and put probably 500 in it with brakes, trans fluid change, spark plugs, a belt, dryrotted hoses, etc. Stuff will pop up, but I always do that basic tune up stuff first for insurance and to get to know the car. Good luck with everything!

when you get new wheels if you have some extra cash to throw at the car, get new rims

He said he's "a bit of a handyman," and that he's kept up on maintenance pretty well. He lives in an affluent suburb of D.C., Silver Spring, MD. I'm pretty sure he has taken care of it, and like I said, he's not selling it cuz he needs money, only cuz his grandfather gave him a "nicer" car.

well the way i feel about it, for only 1700$ it's well worth it, even if there are a few things wrong I paid 3 for my 98. I wish I coulda found one like that for myself!

wow cars are cheap in the states. i paid $6000 canadian for my 2000 v6 with about 96000 miles and that was the best deal i could find. A good deal on a GT here is like $10 000.

Haha I know the feeling. The sand is quite noticeable on my white car But if you want to clean your baby up just grab a bucket and fill it with water from a sink/bathtub and use that to wash it. I recommend warm water. My hands were very cold yesterday
