OD Button Does Not Function
I installed a UPR AOD Shift Lever [Ball style] with the OD button assembled directly below it. It actually works great as a custom shifter, but the OD button has me stymied. Now my OD function does not work when I press the button both in drive or on the road traveling at any speed. I do not think it is shorted out or it would come on since it would complete the circuit when I start the Mustang. I did not get an owners manual so I do not know what fuse to look at to see if I accidentally shorted it out. Any help fixing it would be appreciated. I even replaced the short OD wiring harness since I inadvertently broke the original.
Also, the seat belt light on the instrument cluster does not work nor does the warning buzzer. I checked the bulbs for both and the instrument cluster seems ok, both lights are not burned out. Thanks for any help. Uncle Jim Scottsdale, Arizona USA |

2000 Mustang Workshop Reference
Check that out its the workshop data in the tech thread. It shows a diagram of all the fuses and shows what they're for. Might be a simple fix if it is a fuse. |

OD Button Does Not Function
#28 was the problem! I replaced fuse and it works great now. Thanks for the tip. I had gone thru the fuse diagram and there were eight or nine fuses to check including #28. You saved me a lot of time, thanks again.
I also fixed the seatbelt problem. Seems there is a process to go thru to turn it off and I probably did that during my removal of everything from the guage cluster and the AOD shifter and OD button assemblies. Now on to exhausts...
