Quick Question someone help!
Hey guys I'm in the process of putting a 99 split port entire motor and T5 in my buddies blow 95 motor and auto trans. I will be using the 95 wiring and PCM to do this. I have three questions hopefully someone can answer.
1. I am using the stock 95 wiring and computer for this swap. Do I gotta use the 99 T5 tranny harness, or use the 95 auto tranny harness on the manual? What needs to be modified to make this work.
2. I know I am going to have to swap all of the sensors and wiring from the 95 motor onto the 99 split port.....Does this include cam shaft position sensor since the 99 is two wires only and the 95 is 3 wires? Can I just swap the sensor(top black piece) or do I gotta swap the entire assembly. Does anyone know if any other sensors would need to be swapped for sure? I had to swap the 99 manifolds with the 95 ones due to the O2 sensors being right on the manifolds instead of the Y pipe like the 99 is. Do I gotta run the 95 EGR or 99 EGR system?
3. Does anyone know how to modify the 99 fuel rail to make it return fuel to work with the 95 return lines? A cheap and effective way is what I'm going for (hoping to avoid spending a lot of money on special fuel rail kits to make it work) Or does someone have an easy solution?
Thanks hopefully someone can chime in and answer some of these questions. We will be starting the wiring on Monday so I hope to have some headway before hand what I need to accomplish.
