Car cuts off when turning left.

Here's the situation. After I got my 02 GT, a friend of mine (female) was dying to get a Mustang of any sort. She got a 01 V6 automatic convertable with a little over 78,000 miles. The car was fine mechanically when she got it, now she's having some troubles and I can't figure it out. Situation: The car cuts off when making left turns.
Does anyone have any idea as to why?

Not sure, I haven't driven it with the problem...She took it to a shop before I had a chance to do anything. I'll ask her when I talk to her again.

I had a '86 Taurus back in the day I bought when we lived in CA. It was a 6 banger with a 5 spd and it would do the same exact thing. I was just a kid when I was driving it but it would cut off when I turned left. Nobody at any dealer etc could ever figure it out. It finally cut off one day and I did some off roading which ultimately totaled the car.

The sending unit was dead on it...evidently when she turned left the fuel shifted and something was making it cut off, she got the pump and filter in today and it runs fine now

No joke. My buddy had a jetta that just stopped running and he had it towed to a shop and they told him it was the fuel pump and it would be X amount of dollars to fix it. He said screw it and had it towed back to the house.

Another buddy came over and said , "did you check the fuse in the trunk"? It had a fuse in the trunk that had blown. That was like a 10 cent fix. We all know something caused the thing to blow but it never did it again.

yeah when you don't know EXACTLY what's wrong with your vehicle these low key mechanics will tell you something expensive most of the time! I usually take mine to two diff places to see what they say.

She took it to Dale Jarrett Ford...

They wanted an OUTRAGEOUS $1200 to replace the fuel pump.
I called a buddy of mine to replace it, he charged her $125 + $200 fuel pump + filter.
I would've changed it but work has been keeping me way too damn busy...Plus I had a O/R H-pipe to install on my 02 GT at the time. lol
