Spark Plugs..

Changed out 4 of them today. I officially hate the EGR system although I have to admit the passenger side was easier than the driver side. Which is where I'm having issues. How the hell do I get back the cylinder 5 and 6 spark plugs? I'm not a big guy by any means but I just can't get my hands in there, let alone my hand + a ratchet.

Ive never had a problem with getting in there with my hands and a ratchet. You might be able to use and extension with a universal joint. you must have some ham hocks for hands

5 isnt bad at all, use an extension. 6 can be a bitch. i have to put the socket on first by facing the rear of the car and sliding your arm from right up near the firewall. you will probably scratch your hand up some. get that on there then pull back out and get your wratchet and all on there.

And all this time I thought I had little hands It's the brake fluid reservoir and some cable that runs next to it and up through the firewall that are ridiculously in the way Not to mention the giant black thing, I'm unaware of what it actually is

I get the feeling it's the angle I stand at that's causing most of the problems. I swear I've been trying to get my arm at 4 different angles in an attempt to get at the spark plug wire boot

You need to close your right eye, hang your tongue out the left side of your mouth, slide your arm under the brake booster, twist around on your shoulder and it will come out.

So I'd taken the car to the bank earlier and had to let it cool down otherwise this woulda been done sooner. I decided to just quit being a pussy about it and get shit done. It was still a PITA to get the 6th cylinder plug but I got it Wraith since you made fun of my large manly hands, I figured you'd enjoy some pics

All 6 plugs

My large man hand with a plug for comparison Alright I don't have big man hands..

This was from either the 3rd or 6th cylinder. The rest looked alright aside from being white (mostly on the electrodes). Detonation ftl

Aye, I took the CAI off for the passenger side ones. I expected them to be the more troublesome ones but aside from the annoying EGR, it was actually easier.
