Couple Of Questions
1. I'm looking at getting wheel spacers for my car. I got 18x10 rear wheels with 285s on them but it's not quite as wide as I'd hoped it was going to be. I'm looking at a set of 1" wheel spacers right now. If I end up lowering the car about 1.2-1.5" in the future, will I have to roll the fenders or will 285s with 1" spacers be alright with that drop?
2. I've got a pulley making a good amount of noise between 1500 and 1800 RPM. I'm thinking of just replacing all the pulleys and not having to worry about them for a good long time. I'm also looking at doing underdrive pulleys when I swap out the old pulleys, but what pulleys do the UDPs replace (aside from just the crank pulley)? Is a 130 amp alternator pulley good for a car without a big stereo system? And do any of the pulleys require an impact wrench to remove them? I know the alternator pulley will. 3. Does a wheel bearing replacement require any specialized tools? I think that's the cause of the noises I've been hearing from the rear passenger side of the vehicle. It's gone from a chirping noise to a metallic grinding noise.. Also, if anyone can link me to a good how-to for replacing the rear wheel bearing, I would appreciate it very much

Hmm, some places make it sound fairly simple and others make it sound like I need an entire new hub assembly
![]() Edit: I'm beyond confused. A see a lot of people saying you can only get the bearing with the hub assembly, but I'm sitting here looking at RockAuto's website and seeing wheel bearings for sale without the hub assembly..

You need to pull the axle and have a press to remove the bearing BUT you may have damaged other parts in the differential with any shavings that have come off. Best bet is to take it to a gear shop and have them do it and clean up the differential at the same time. A good gear shop should do that for about $100.
On the pullys, the only one you need change to get more power is the one on the crank. You'll need a pully puller for that. You can rent them.
