How To. Fenderwell CAI Ram Air 56k warning

Ok guys here it is.
Go to lowes or a hard were store and get
some 5in dryer hose
a metal elbow that can rotate
some sort of pvc inlet pipe
and 3 clamps

next if the elbow will not fit over the inlet pipe cut tabs and bend it out connect to inlet pipe (also if needed cut down some of the thick wall of the pvc pipe to help fit) and clamp down tight

next clamp dryer hose to filter (mine I didn't cover all the way just in case it messes up it can still intake air I will probably soon fab up a box to cover the whole filter and connect the hose to that.)

run dryer hose down and connect and turn metal elbow to connect to dryer hose

On a stock bumper you can probably let the pipe sit like this (it will look ricer though) I didn't have clearance

next i used wire clothes hanger to old the inlet pipe in place

run wires up through holes in the metal in the engine bay to secure

and this is how the finished pipe looks

and there you guys go custom ram air for 18 bucks.

my mac filter as u no is more of a Square filter then a usual cone shape like yours....so the setup would be a bit hard unless i extend the pipe downward and make a box behind it or something.....also man...i painted my third brake light flat black matching the vinyl perfect...and the lites can still be seen with the brakes.... quick and easy looks pics up 2moro

nice man. Oh they make flexible rubber plumbing pipes close to the shape of the mac filter. I was gonna get one my filter fit in and clamp that to the intake pipe behind the filter and the dryer hose to the other end.

well you get this neat quiet wirring sound around 60 and I get from 50-70 about a full second faster from cruising to WOT. Did three runs with out then three with and got maybe .1-.2 seconds different each run but the runs with the Ram Air were a full second faster. I might have gotten 1-3 hp but my throttle response increased greatly.

the setup is simple but I worry about sand catching up easier now....so its probably not a good idea and a filter system of some sort would defeat the purpose of a ram air....

Great little project ya did there. Looks pretty easy, but I don't see where the grapes from the first picture come into play. J/K. I could possibly fab some stuff up after I figure out how to do my own little design for it. Good job none the less bro.

Thanks Cricket. Yeah I am going to cover the entire filter today or tomorrow probably. Oh and the grapes are essential you cover the filter with the fresh squeezed juice and it adds about 14 psi of boost and 75 hp with out hurting the engine

((that was a joke please no one really put grape juice on your filter.))
