Cleaned MAF, Car Doesn't Want to Start

Cleaned the MAF a bit ago. Let it sit to dry for a few minutes, bolted it on (took me a while after dropped a bolt and spending a while before realizing I had extras in the CAI laying around), plugged the MAF back in, reconnected the battery and gave her a try (I assumed it would have been dry by then (considering it looked like most of the MAF cleaner ran out the bottom). Car tried to turn over for a couple of seconds, gauges all went to max, then I turned the key back and got a little pop noise. Letting it dry some more atm. Do you think it might just still be wet?

Edit: Being the impatient person I am (and having things to go do in a bit) I went down and gave it another shot. It didn't want to turn over at first and the gauges swept all the way to max and it finally turned over. The gauges stayed stayed once the car was on, then all dropped down to 0, then kind of settled down. Gave it a few more start ups to make sure it wasn't going to go to hell on me when I need to leave

Did you use 'electrical cleaner' ? That is the ONLY type of cleaner you should use on them and then blow dry.

No, sir. I kept the straw away from the wires. Already probably going to have to buy a new IAC, don't want to be spending money on a new MAF as well

Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner from Advance Auto Parts.

Well the car is running well again. It kind of bogged down like it usually does when I first start it up and take off, but it picked itself up a little better than normal. I think I just didn't let the MAF dry enough before I tried to start it.

It came from the factory with tlok, heavy sway bars, vented discs, etc. even though it was only a 3.8L.

No, no it did not. It might have came from whatever DEALER you bought it from like that as a special promotion package. But IT DID NOT come from the factory like that.

I've cleaned my maf before and forgot to plug it back in, car started right up & drove without the maf plugged in. I got really crappy gas mileage until I plugged it back in so I doubt it was just your maf.
