Turbo kit question

I am being given a turbo, for free, from a friend and was wondering where to get everything else to go along with it. Also how bad would it make my duals sound? (off road h pipe, with gt takeoffs, with flow40s) I no there has to be custom exhaust work done. -Thanks

I know it'll make it a lot quieter if you leave it the same, because all the exhaust is running through a turbo. What kind of turbo? And all the parts needed have been listed in at least 2 turbo threads in the last 2 weeks. You just have to search and find what you can on the internet unless you have a summit around you. Though the internet will be cheaper.

Well you've got to have the right size turbo to some extent or its not even worth it. The turbo itself is just a fraction of the cost of a whole turbo setup. And no, there's nowhere that sells a kit minus a turbo. It's going to cost you at least 3k to have one made, and at that point you might as well get the right turbo for it.

this is about right.

also the exhaust you have probably should be bigger for a turbo too truthfully. dont forget that once you have the parts, you still need a tune which will be another 500 or so

Agreed. No such thing as a free turbo. Youre still going to have to dump a shit load of money and even more time into it.
