there isnt an intake exhaust manifold you have an intake and you have headers. you need to be more clear on your issue.

no he has an exhaust manifold not headers -_-

this is the intake manifold, yes i know its not a v6 but i couldnt find a picture

and heres the exhaust, these are headers. yours resemble these but are not exact.

to find out how to remove them buy a haynes manual. the most used thing in the manual is the torque settings. good luck.

Going out on a limb I'm going to say you mean:

- Your Exhaust Manifold is cracked?

If so your going to have to have it welded back together.

Your other options:

Shorties
Long Tubes

i would either get oem if i didnt care about performance or like he said shorties or LT's if i did care about performance.

Stock manifolds are shorties...for performance get LT's...a cracked manifold was my excuse for the upgrade

Shorties still aren't worth putting on the car...seeing as how the stock manifolds flow just as well

+1 i asked my mechanic he said long tubes all the way unless im getting a turbo then put the cash into the shorties other wise the difference is so minuscule i wouldn't notice he said.

If you get a turbo you wouldn't exactly wanna buy shorties either...

Anyway if you HAVE to replace stock's and you don't want LT's for whatever reason shorties are about the same price as new OEM stockers -

Other than that we all know that shorties are pointless (unless your making over 300hp)

I was told that the 3.8 doesnt generate enough heat to need long tube headers

its not the heat its the lack of restriction of exhaust flow that gives the gains.

well when I asked the guy what the heat had to do with it he told me that he would have to tell me later cause he had to go. I haven't seen him since. I thought that the exhaust was all about getting less restriction

when exhaust parts are allowed to overheat they will crack and expand, break connections and seals. and if the cats over heat they will restrict them selves.
