'02 3.8l..issues..3 New error codes

All around bad day for the car.. sputtering on acceleration and going up hills and such.. i originally thought it might be the fuel pump or something related.. now im not so sure.. the day climaxed with the flashing CEL when I was on my way to work.. well i turned around and drove my dads truck.. i got home from work and took the stang up to autozone to get the codes and this is what they told me:
P0457 (I already replaced the cap);
P0303 (would this relate to the flashing CEL earlier?);
P0316;
the guy at autozone said he would be willing to be that it was just the plugs because my car has just shy of 92k on it and he says those plugs are 100k mile plugs or something..
please.. nething and everything u guys can suggest as to where to start and such would be greatly appreciated.. thanx in advance

Ya, i would try the plugs, I like to change mine like every 10-20k miles, change the wires, and your fuel filter also.

P0457 this may be a vacuum leak in the evap system.
P0303 this is third cylinder misfire.

P0316 and this means you have a missfire on the start up (first 1000 revs)

P0457 check whole evap system could be a broken line

P0303 and P0316
you need to look into these 3 items and inspect and replace in this order;
Spark plugs then wires, then ignition coil pack.

get a Haynes Manuel its a great tool its self and the evap system is a vacuum system that allows fuel vapors to be collected and put into your intake manifold so they can be used.

effects fuel efficiency marginally. possibility of leaking gas is minimal but you will not pass emissions.
