not to be an ass but If it has to do with a v6 I think the exhaust forms and shifter forms....or whatever should stay on the v6 page, maybe this should be a poll to decide If they get moved or not, I think its a little rediculous to move all of those isnt that what the v6 pages is kinda for???

no. Those are items that are not exactly v6 specific, and almost anyone can give insight, or knowledge on. We have certain sections for certain items, and this section is for v6 specific tech only.

Seems like alot of the V6 threads have nothing to do with V6's, that's why posts are getting moved. Folks asking what a friend is doing this weekend shouldn't be posted in the V6 area just because the person happens to own a V6. This is a tech section, stuff like that should be in the clubhouse or via pm.

Yes, thats true, but still. Plenty of people who have owned a v6 mustang frequent other parts of the boards as well. Just some people do not check other parts, and ask questions that do not go into the right place. These are sections that have been around longer than some of the posters, and they need to understand that there is more to this site than just the v6 section, multimedia, and clubhouse. Not everyone can give advice on v6, but they may be able to set someone in the right place, or atleast try, if we start to frequent other parts of the boards we wouldn't have this problem and wouldn't have to move all these threads. Especially all the threads that should be in the clubhouse.

And it still stays on the v6 page...it just has "moved" before it and doesn't show when someone replies to a post. so it's still in the section, but not at the same time.

ALOT OF THREADS DONT HAVE TO DO WITH V6's and honestly its a problem...especially these exhaust post...we must get 2 new threads on exhaust EVERYDAY about the same shit

"hi i just got a v6 mustang but i want it to be loud...i want true dual exhaust...what should i get"

that same question posed in a different form or longer..EVERYDAY, its rediculous and especially when 3-4 post down theres already the answer to it..and look another few post down and the same answer

ANY COSMETIC questions for the v6 are not v6 related and belong in a different section of the forum.

ENGINE BASED QUESTIONS
do...
pulleys
intakes
headers ONLY
cam
heads for a v6

but then again now that i think of it alot of section on here can pretty much cover everything that theres no need to post in the modular, v6 section or 5.0 section

i will agree that some of the moved items are a little rediculous but the exhaust i can understand..

im 50/50 on this because i agree with some moved thread but not all

It pretty much comes down to this. Moderators make their best judgement on what threads go where. It's not like their putting threads where they don't need to go. They are trying to get the best answers to the questions asked. If you don't like what the moderators do, then don't post here! But realize that they are doing it to get the most informative, best help possible for the topic being discussed.

Fist off i think that we should sticky the informative threads like the ones we had about the turbo and super chargers second i think we should start warning people about not using the search function. i think if we stickied more stuff ppl would see it read and not start the 7 millionth gears and tlock thread.

i have been moving b/w 10-15 threads a day. it is ridiculous, but i thank cricket and greenfaleen for their help.

also, here is what i move the most:

threads about:

gears (should be in drivetrain)
exhaust (should be in exhaust)
wheels (should be in drivetrain)
suspension, also springs, lowering, etc. (should be in suspension)
tuners (should be in electronics)

these topics are not v6 specific and have absolutely nothing to do with the v6 motor or drivetrain specifically.

if there was a post about how the different weight of the v6 motor as opposed to the v8 motor would affect suspension geometry, it would not be moved. but these topics are NOT v6-specific and will continue to be moved. we have a sticky about this issue already.

hell, the only reason this post is in the v6 forum is so v6 guys read it.
