bad ground?

bad ground?


having voltage problem 99 V-6, repalced pcm, new keys. Wasn't starting at all, but now we got it started but the voltage is high output and the engine is cutting out. We were told that was a bad ground SOMEWHERE but can not find it anybody had any problems like this one?

To the best of my knowledge there should be about 3 places that ground on your car. The negative cable from the battery should ground to the engine, there should also be a smaller wire coming off of the negative battery clamp that goes into the body with a screw and there should be a body ground coming off the back of the block and grounding to the firewall somewhere. check all these connections and make sure that they are solid. If the grounds are all good I would recomend having the alternator checked. Overcharging is usually something to do wit the charging system itself (bad battery, bad alternator, bad voltage regulator, etc...).

I had the same problem bout 1 year go it was the voltage regulator
as far as ground i made my own with some wire and connection from radio shack it made my lights brighter
the ignition system that got it says that there should be at least 2 good grounds but i got four in the engine bay

thanks for the replies, I'll check and see if any of these help, still no luck.
checked grounds, changed battery, the fan comes on and theft light binks fast. Any other suggestions.
