problem I KNOW ITS LONG PLEASE READ


alright I was driving my 94 v6 yesterday and i got on the gas again and it started to not go anywhere...usally does this when I drive it when its cold but it wasnt cold and then I put it to the floor to check it in it sounded like the engine was running really poor and the car wasnt going anywhere at first I thought it was the tranny but then I was going up a hill and it didnt have enough power to go up it and it bogged down and died I then started it back up and it was idling real low and if u give it a little throttle and boged down and died, and if u try to let out the clutch it does the same thing even when applying throttle so basically when i touch the gas it bogs down and dies...I then towed it home and I started it up it ran fine and i could move it under its own power no problem..im not driving it i had to take my cobra today but any help is appreciated

problem


I was thinking it might be the really old fuel filter/fuel pump/bad or clog or beat fuel injectors

fuel pump its not giving enough pressure as ur fuel sits at the back of the tank going up a hill

i would run a fuel injector cleaner next time you fill up or get a tune up

mine did the same thing.. i ran some stp injector cleaner.. after i fixed the problem.. my plugs and plugwires were shot, so i replaced em.. can u drive it up to your local autozone and get the error codes that your computer is throwing?

spark plugs / fuel filter / fuel pump.. in the order of cheapest to more expensive to take a look at and replace. does it jerk a bunch finally stopping and die?

problem


nope cant drive it at all, i replaced the fuel filter since i all ready had that and problems still there its not gonna make it to autozone, some times I hold the key turned and it doesnt start then i try it agian and it starts for a second then dies, then i try and start it again and it runs for like 7 1/2 seconds then bogs down in rpms and dies, if u even tap the gas at all it dies, i thought maybe it could be timing but the check engine lights not on, the plugs and wires are maybe 6-8 months old and the fuel filter is new the fuel pump still works how good i cant tell but you can here it buzz im really fuckin pissed at this and the only thng i can thnk of is the fuel pump causing fuel starvation, the injectors are maybe at very oldes 40,000 miles any help at all will be very very appreciated, right now i have to drive my cobra and it cost an arm and a leg to drive and i hate driving it in the winter and hate putting miles on it

you have problems similar to my gf's pinto lol, but I would say fuel pump more than anything.

yea wierdly enough it was happening to my mom's freinds land rover or somethng gay like that, im gonna go for the fuel pump hopefully thats what it is, u can still here it start up when u turn the key a little but that doesnt always mean its working fine just means its not completely blow, how much does a fuel pump run???

thanks...i guess i ought to buy it and put it in at least I know how to do the work saves me money on paying someone to do it...with all the shit that broke on my v6 in the last month im glad my stepdad tought me everythng

Radiator,Water pump,thermostat,thermostat gasket then blew out,starter,throwoutbearing all that shit in one month it just broke 200,000 grand thu

question


alright heres a question im gonna replace the fuel pump but I found out my rear O2 sensor plugs came disconnected from the like clamps things, there still screwd in but not plug in, althu 3 kids at my school have 94-95 mustangs 2 of which are v6s with exhaust and they never plugged them in because the wire didnt reach they just screwd them in place, but u dont even need the MIL eliminators on a 94-95 dont know about foxbodys but no check engine lights on dont think this is it but juts thought id let u know just saw it like a little bit ago

yea i have a 03 cobra and a 95 cobra which i recently bought but really didnt/dont have the money for i was lucky to get the 03 my grandma bought it for me when she won some medical settlement or something and my freind sold me the 95 for 7,000 because he got married and his girlfreind didnt have a car and needed a family car so I told him i'd buy it but yea...lol insurance is a BITCH!!!!!!!! im prob gonna drop the 5.0 cobra i dont really drive it but its sick, sound just flat out nasty but my 03 sounds just positlvely awesome it has long tubes offroad x and flow 40s has the greatst alike "hollow: sound to it
