And for the OP, get that checked out ASAP. That can't be good for your engine no matter what's wrong...

every other gear seems fine except for 5th...
the other night i spun the tires in my drive way and my brother said he seen a spark come from underneath it.
I ve got a brand new clutch in it and i had no problems with the tranny before.the only thing i can think of is something to do with the rear end, it might not be the gears but maybe something else.....

I have never heard of it and I don't even know if it's possible...

But perhaps a broken fork or God knows what is allowing a screwed up gear combination to engage inside the transmission in 5th... A transmission gear engagement problem... That would take a transmission expert to determine. I can't imagine anything in the rear axle just affecting 5th. The rear axle is all or nothing.

it seems this 94 is giving me more problems then my 95 ever did!

Check that out, you'll see the gears are fixed.
