First Mod Purchase... Any last minute tips?

Alright, I've decided to forget about the looks and just go performance... kinda, haha. So here's what I've got planned to order probably tomorrow evening unless I hear otherwise!

First of all, an eBay CAI, I'm looking at this one, unless you guys have any problems or a better one that I should fgo with.

Next from Autobadges.com, I'm planning on getting...
ASP UDP (25%) - $220.00
Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter - $187.95
Shifter Gasket Set - $9.00
4.5" Silver Brushed Aluminum 3.8 Emblem - $10.00

So... what do you think? I can get the smaller belt from somewhere local and I've heard it's cheaper to do it that way anyways. I've got a K&N Filter hidden inside that intake somewhere so I'll see if I can pull it off an put it on this CAI, if not I'll just leave on the one that comes with it. I'm looking forward to the shifter and no more embarassing missed shifts into third! Oh, and while I'm waiting for this I'm going to be heading to Autozone and picking up some brake pads, since I need those for now. Thanks guys for all the help in the process of picking these!

If you don't have duel exhaust.

I would recommend that as your first mod hands down...

Exhaust seemed way too confusing for me, haha. I was going to just stay on the lookout for some GT takeoffs to get me by. That and 4.10's and posi will probably be my next mods. I really didn't understand the whole headers deal and then x or h pipe and then to mufflers... I dunno, maybe once I stick around for a while I'll get it more. I'd also like something I can do on my own. I did really like the sound of those flow 40's though... How much would a complete setup run with typical labor? Would it be possible to do on my own? My dad said that setting up an exhaust system is a real art and is pretty hard to just go out and weld together something.

CAI = almost 0 gain without opening up your exhaust -

Well but then that wouldn't be true duals would it? Wouldn't you have to cut before the y and put on an h pipe or an x pipe, then go to the flowmasters?

tips

yea dont buy that, and get some headers but if your on a budget buy an off road H-pipe and MIL eliminators then flowtubes and flowmaster 40s it'll sound great and later on buy short tube heders, compared to what people tell you they are better then exhaust manifolds that come stock, once you have an exhaust your free on all your other mods then get your intake, exhaust doesnt take long to put on at all and it is very simple to do

Just go to a muffler shop and tell them you want true duals with flowmaster super 40's and a crossover bar. it will be 375 they will give you all the parts and welds them in. And the UD pulleys you can get the pulleys for 160 i'll look around for the link.

Well I'm getting everything listed for about 450 shipped, so I don't think it's a bad deal! Thanks, I suppose I'm a little more in the know about duals now, and I'll see if I can make that my next upgrade!
