M112 Parts List

Alright guys, I'm saving to get my car painted then I want to start gathering the pieces to install an M112 on my car. So I was hoping you guys could help me compile a list of everything I'm going to need. I've done a little searching and SSMS was helpful. I'm going to keep searching but any input on parts needed would be much appreciated!

So here we go:

M112 blower
M112 intake manifold adapter
Plenum
Throttle body
Throttle cable and bracket
Air intake tubing
MAF (what size? Possibly from a Lightning? Or a Termi?)
Air filter
#39 injectors (would #42 be better?)
SVT Focus fuel pump

So I was reading a bit on Mustang Evolution and I came across this

The best pulley combo we've seen to start with is the stock blower pulley and use of a 42% Underdrive crank pulley.
I was under the impression that you couldn't run UDPs with a blower and that if you did it would just reduce the gains by causing the blower pulley to spin slower. So would UDPs with the m112 actually increase power or is this guy full of shit?

Ask ticket-me-yellow. He was thinking about selling his set up a while back, dunno if he did.

Possibly getting rid of m112

Will do. I've been doing some reading on just superchargers in general and it seems increasing the crank pulley size and decrease the blower pulley size increases the boost. So overdrive crank would be much better than underdrive with a blower

Typically that's true. However the m112 is like a 1.6L (or close) blower. It displaces enough air to put a v8 motor into the 400RWHP range and beyond. It's too much for our 3.8 so to keep boost levels down, and thus heat, (because the m112 produces a ton of heat and we can't intercool, yet) we run an underdrive pulley. The biggest obstacle of the project is getting those intake temps lowered effectively. Many use water/meth injection while other just take out timing or spray nitrous (brave...).

Would it be possible to run an intercooler to help with the heat levels? I was thinking of running around 8lbs of boost. Hopefully that's not going to be too much.

Forget Painting, boost > paint.

Nobody even notices your paint when your car is whining and you open the hood and a s/c is sitting under it.

Haha I would love to skip the painting for now but I'm down to the metal in a few areas and one spot is starting to rust. Not to mention I'm not entirely confident enough to attempt a S/C install myself just yet. Hopefully getting into the auto tech program at my college next year and my dad said he'd talk to his boss about possibly getting me a job working on generators (industrial sized and the mechanic wants someone who won't act like a know-it-all so I'll keep my mouth shut and learn lol).

if you want 8psi stay with the stock m112 pulley size and get a 25% underdrive pulley. 8psi is good for a stock block and will give you some good numbers

I like the sound of this. Means I can get my UDPs I want and enjoy them while I piece together everything else What psi would things start to get risky at? I mean if I can, I'd like to run closer to 10psi, but I don't want to fuck my engine for a little extra power.

I'm not 100% sure, and stick with 8psi that way if you want 2 more pounds later you can add them.

Well at any psi you run the risk of hurting your engine. I just had a long ass talk with one of my friends about turbos and superchargers. Turbos dont put as much stress on your engine that a s/c would. But just from what I have seen on this forum and others I have slightly glanced at 8 psi seems to be the highest and least risky on a stock engine. I mean 10 psi would be sweet but I would recommend you stick with 8 until you do more work reinforcing your engine, I mean once you save up more and get some forged internals and stuff you could just crank it to 15 and skip 10

i remember reading somewhere that with the adapter plate, you could use any blower that would fit a cobra. so if i could find a kenne bell 2.2, would i be able to use that? or would that just be a dumb idea.
