How many miles are on your v6 and tranny?

I'm curious to find out who has the most miles out there on their mustang without ANYTHING being rebuilt on it and what year it is or what milage their engine or tranny needed to be rebuilt at.

So the bottom line is. How many miles is a mustang good for if you take care of it?

mines a 02 V6 with good tranny, mines at 78,XXX miles now, only prob with the engine was the seals, but thats minor to fix, other than that mines strong as anything, clutch still feels really firm and catches great.

I've got about 130,000 on both.....except for some stupid sensors (DPFE, oil pressure sending unit) I have had no problems at all! I am second owner, and she had 100,000 when I got her.

the origional owner was a "little-old-lady" who took damn good care of the car, and most of her daily commute was highway.

Great thread by the way.....I have been wondering how well these mustangs (mine is 01) will hold up! My other Ford cars (both escorts) have well over 200,000 miles with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! if you can believe that!

I'm hoping my Stang does as good as the escorts did!

I got about 87k miles on my 01 right now, only problem with it is an exhaust leak which is a common problem with these cars so no biggie everything else runs fine.

Just curious and all.

What is the average mileage a person puts on their car in a year? Is it 12,000 or 15,000?

Still going strong. LOVE this car.
