HID help!
Hi everyone I have a 2002 stang with smoked out headlght covers and stock lights. I don't know a lot about hids as far as brightness. My question is which hids should I get in order to see well at night with my headlight covers on because It is very hard to see at night. I hope someone with the smoked out covers can help me. Thanks for your time

I would say 6000k would probably be a good choice. Maybe even 8000k but that's going to be fairly blue and might not shine through quite as well.

my headlights are smoked stock and the 8000k worked great for me.

i've seen covers on everything from 5k-10k and it really doesn't make a difference since the number isn't a brightness level but a color temp...however i've noticed that the 4700-6k shines through better since the original color is less blue

+1, even though they are all the same brightness, it seems that the more blue the light is, the more it is filtered out
