Trouble shooting my nitrous

After a slow process of finding time to put my nitrous in , I sprayed for the first time. 50 Shot, I felt it but it didnt seem like 50 horses at all. I was using jets 30 for nitrous and 22 for fuel, it sugguests this for reaching 50 horses on a 43 psi fuel pressure. Im thinking I dont get 43 psi off the Schrader valve?
I guess if I dont get 43 psi , what jets would be the right size for 50 and 100 shots at my pressure?

In addition, I used my wot switch to trigger it becuase my windowswitch dose reads the tps but not my rpms. I spliced into the tach to get this reading but I guess ill just need to get a stupid tach adapter?

Hmm... Well a fifty shot is not that big of a shot. Was the car faster? Try doing a run from like 0-90 without nitrous while taping and then tape with the 50 shot and see if it is faster. Also the windowswitch should splice into the signal from the ecu. Did you splice underneath by the ECU for the tach signal? I can't remember what pin but that is where you go for a shift light I know. Also did you set up the windowswitch to work with our coil setup?

Im going for 100 shot once I find out the jets for it, I have the tune in my tuner. I spliced the wire right as it came out of the ecu. I forget the pin but its yellow/orange. I know its that one becuase when I cut through it my overdrive didnt work when I went to go get something at homedepot . The windowswitch is good with like everything, It has alot of differnt options for differnt ways to run it. I put in the option that I enter my # of cylinders and have the tach signal from the ecu, as is suggested in the directions.

I also found this

Shot N2o Jet Fuel Jet Fuel Pressure
35------31----------18-----------47
50------35----------20-----------47
75------41----------24-----------47
100-----52-----------28-----------47

Nos Sniper Kit:
35-----26----------18-------43
50-----30----------22-------43
75-----36----------24-------43

This is for 47 Psi though, dose this look okay for my car. Found it on another post about another 6er with nitrous. I find the top one closer to being accuratre becuase I found it on MM and not a generalzation from the kit

Hmm... I don't know about the windowswitch cuz I don't have a nitrous kit. And was it Pin 26? I don't remember the color on mine but I am 99 percent sure it was pin 26. If the windowswitch is not working I would try double checking the connections and that you are on Pin 26. Otherwise there may be a special way to program it. I will wait for someone to get on here and post more, I don't know because I don't have nitrous on my car.

Your jetting is not for a 50 shot....more like a 30. #30nos and 22#fuel you are probablly seeing 20hp...way to much fuel.

50rwhp is going to be something like 36/20.

A wideband air fuel gauge would work well because if you are getting to much fuel you could watch it go way rich on the gauge. Then you could jet it with a little less fuel. But looking at the chart you should be at right around 35/20 for a 50 shot.

And if you look at the chart you posted I think that is pretty accurate. And as far as the sniper chart, I think they go on engine hp that is why there numbers are slightly lower for the hp rating compared to the above chart.

How painfull would it be to run 120 with nothing really built and a Bama tune? I was thinking of doing 120ish but I backed down and I only want to go 100 now

I would stick with 100 for now. At least until you get everything working correctly.

You should tape the before and after if you have a camera and post it up. I dont know if you will need fuel mods or not. I would not think since you have a wet kit, but I don't know if your fuel pump will be suffice. I have seen v6s run as much as 125 with basic bolt ons. I don't know how good it is for your motor?

I wouldnt go more than 100 personally.

The problemb with these cars and nitrous is the upper intake design. The nitrous will puddle in cyl 5 and 6.

Now if you go with a windstar intake, the nitrous will distribute better and you could run a 100shot and be safe.

Example...seafoam your car. pull the upper off and you'll see that cyl 5 and 6 are cleaner than the others. Especially cyl6.

ran 50 with jt's jets then 75. 75 pulls nice, Now I just need to get a new jet for 100. You can deffinatly feel the power but I was more exspecting it to snap my neck when I hit wot. I can definatly see myself trying 120 for a little bit, so I might get a windstar im thinking. Thanks for the help guys. So do you think Ill need a tach adapter to get my window switch working properly?

I don't know if you will or not. I would think there would have to be some way to use the window switch. Try emailing the company that made it and ask? That would be your best bet. And dang, that is a little saddening. I want to get nitrous, and I was hoping it would be crazy!

Ive been doing it from rolls so it wouldnt be as necksnapping as from a dig. When I get my windowswitch working it should be alot more effective. That and I need to get my purge working, I have a fried purge solenoid

I would imagine you should feel it quite a bit with a 100 shot. Especially because it gives more tq than hp. Idk though.

Ok thanks. I just think it has to be crazy off the line. cuz a 100 shot would be 100 rough rwhp and 150 rwtq give or take. That would be insane plust the vehicles power.

100 shot should put it at around my peak tq as soon as it hits.

My brother did the nitrous on his 99 v6 and it was bad ass. 4.10's, manuel, qtp's,wot switch,100shot and detroit locker. Think his best et was 8.2something@84mph.
