Passenger window problem, help!

Passenger window will not roll down now, hmm.

It's not the motor, or the switch...
Tested both of those.

So it's gotta be something else, any ideas?

See this thread:

Power windows are a bit of a 'spider web' of connections...

Usually it's the motor but if that and the switch both look good then yeah i'd go with something wrong in the wiring... Good luck!

x2 and if it is making any noise it may be off track

The only reason it would probably be the wiring is if it isn't trying anything at all

This happened to me once when the glue holding the window to the track melted, leaving the motor with nothing to retract! We had to disassemble the door and get a auto glass shop to drill holes in the bottom of the window glass to physically reattach it to the track.

If the motor sounds like its running trying to engage the window I would rule out wiring.

Well yeah do you have any other details? Is it making any window motor noise, making any other noises inside the door, does it look like its trying to move at all, or is it completely nothing? You will probably know if it is off track because it'll make noise, the glass may try to move a bit, the glass may start to go sideways rather than straight up, etc... It's been raining a lot here so hopefully it's not so bad over there, but be sure to cover that up someway or another.
