how much should it cost to have the speedometer recalibrated? the dealership wants $90 just to look at it.

AM sells the speedo recalibrator device for like $200. Then you have to either install it yourself or take it to a shop to install it. The installation doesn't look all that hard, just fairly time consuming. But imo you should just put out the extra money for a handheld tuner. You're going to need it in the future anyways so why waste $200 + labor on something that you'll be able to change with a tuner when you end up buying it?

I saw a speedo corrector thing somewhere for like 25 bucks, but tbh i have NO idea where i saw it and im not entirely sure of its quality or effectiveness. But queen is right, dont pay 200$ + 90 for instalation when you could pay 350-400 for the actual tuner to do it yourself and change other stuff at the same time.

yeah i plan on buying the tuner later i just dont have the money at the moment. however i installed 4.10's and a t-lok over the weekend and im driving around guessing that my speedometer is 10mph high of what im doing (guesstimated with a gps). basically i was looking for the $50 quick fix for someone to plug it in and change it like you would with a tuner.
