The Infamous Stalling Problem

right so i can officially ass changing the sparkplugs to the list of things ive done to try and fix the problem, im changing the plug wires tommarow but im starting to think its not gonna help.

after changing the plugs i did notice thats it riding alot smoother, but i still get that cutoff when i gun it. it like my engine decided it wants to be a bum and just sit on the couch eatin patato chips all day. when i rev it stops at 4k and acts like im on the rev limiter. i hasnt been gettin bad enough to die lately, but its still very annoying esspecially when u have some ricer reving on u and ur just like, " sry, i cant make u feel like shit today, my cars broke" lol

check fuel pressure regulator as well, and the air filter of course. also u can have vacuum leak some where and might be getting un maf'ed air when your in the WOT position i have seen this before. a trick to check for this is get a propane torch and open the valve so the propane is cummin out DONT LIGHT it and probe the tip of the torch around all the intake hoses and the throttle body and the intake its self you your idle increases spontaneously you've found your leak (the propane increases the idle because its give your mixture that extra little pop ) you also should check your ignition coil and run some injector cleaner dirty injectors that stick and do not pulsate correctly with the timing will do this.

go to autozone or sears or something like that and get a fuel pressure checker, then towards the bottom of the intake manifold the upper one(now this is for 94-98 might/prob is the same for 99 up) theres a little cap that looks like a cap you take off to put air in your tire you plug it in there turn you key over to just the "ON" position just before cranking just turning the key once do that three-four times ur pressure should be around 40 psi i beleive ill put exact numbers up in a little, make sure your fuel filters not in backwards ive seen that happen before, check your fuel pump fuse but if your car runs for a little its prob not that could be something in your line or ur injectors are clogged, from now one run high octane in your car.....

problem

check all your vacuum lines to your intake manifolds, spark plug gap, all your O2 sensors, and check your timing check to make sure the line thats right above the MAF box is plug in both ends you can buy the complete Haynes guide for the car at autozone and advanced auto parts for 30 bucks and it has a trouble shooting guide in it

he is going to have to have a pressure check while driving, checking pressure with pout the pump under load wont really say much.

If you have the car in neutral and you hit the gas, will it let you go past 4k? If so, your O2 sensors are to blame. Change them out and you should be fine. Cheap and easy fix.
