windstar intake question
ok im relatively new too modding. i have a 99 v6 mustang, with a bkk cai and a sct custom tune. i want to add a windstar but iv already shelled out the 200 for the cai from American muscle can i still use the cai with the windstar and if so how would i go about it? thanks!!

no, if your talking about the VAP windstar intake it comes with a new intake pipe as part of the package

you might be able to use part of the old one to make something that works but the VAP kit comes with the intake already so you dont need to use it

American Muscle has a 79$ intake that would have also saved you some money.

I ran into the same problem as you. before i found this forum i spent a lot on a K&N FIPK cai. Now it won't work with my windstar swap, so I am hoping to get some money for it.

Just keep the filter and use it on the VAP windstar.. youd be about 130 bucks in the hole but at least not 180

Well I am hoping to sell it on craigslist. And the filter on the FIPK kit is too big. It won't work without some serious modification. I am hopefully going to be able to sell it for over 100 on craigslist. Then go buy a cheap cai of ebay or local autoparts store that will work.

no, the tubing the way it bends. I am going to try looking at it closer tonight after work and hopefully figure it out! I would like to just use the fipk since i have it, and would not have to wait for the new cai.

Why don't you just get some tube and make a new intake? The FPIK pulls HOT AIR anyway.
