Valve spring retainer question
I went to autozone to get OEM GT spring retainers but it was 319.88 for 24 of them...
AM has a set of 16 for 69.99 but it says they are made for the comp cam bee hive springs. Would that matter? Comp Cams Valve Spring Steel Retainers (96-04 4.6L 2V) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

No. I just figured they would be, but I forgot, it's their labor that is out the ass. I believe I found them but they have a different name on the chart. they are 8.81 per.

Not sent. I found another site that had OEM parts and got 12 brand new GT retainers for 9.00. Yes nine dollars. I also got a valve seal to replace a torn one. And a few interior panels which made the tot 45 bucks after shipping.
I think I got quite a deal.

I used to,probably still have the part number for the retainers. They're maybe $1 from Ford. They must have looked up the wrong product at the auto parts location you went to.
